1962 World's Fair Edition
The Gallery Model Edition reflects an interpretation of the Space Needle in a scale model intended to focus on the unadorned beauty of its essential design. The more formal presentation emphasizes the qualities of the Space Needle as a work of art, in a league with the leading landmark structures of the world.
The World's Fair Edition shows the Space Needle as it appeared in 1962, in its original configuration and colors, when it was both the centerpiece of that year's World's Fair and the Emerald City's newest landmark structure. Both the "open-air" entry shelter and the "glassed-in" entry shelter versions of the World's Fair Space Needle are shown.
